Fresno Chaffee Zoo provides excellent resource for teachers and schools. Whether you want to bring your class to the Zoo, bring Zoo animals to your school, or utilize the teacher training or field trip programs, we have something for everyone.
School Groups and Field Trips
Fresno Chaffee Zoo welcomes school groups for both
casual field trips and more formal onsite programs. Please

School and other educational groups are also eligible for
our education group rates. These rates are
good Monday through Friday and reservations must be made at
least two weeks in advance by contacting our Education Department
at 559-498-5920.
If you would like to come to the Zoo on a field trip but do not want
an educational tour, please contact the main Zoo office at 559-498-5910.

what's going on at the Zoo plus receive lesson ideas and

Teacher Training
Learn how to use the Zoo as a resource for teaching science
in your classroom. All of our workshops are aligned with
California's science standards and include access to teacher
check-out kits for use in the classroom. Teacher training
workshops are offered during school breaks and past sessions
have included such topics as Grassland Safari, Pablo Python
(literacy through animals) and Voyage from the Sun.
